Technique Classes
Ballet Technique
Age: 9+ years old
Time: Tuesday 4:00-5:15pm

Ballet Technique is designed to elevate your dancing, focus on foundational movements, proper alignment, and strength-building exercises. You'll practice barre work, center practice, and across-the-floor combinations, all aimed at refining your skills and enhancing your grace. This class emphasizes precision and artistry, helping you become a more confident and versatile dancer.
Tap Technique
Age: 9+ years old

Tap Technique class is designed to enhance your rhythm and style. In this energetic class, you'll work on fundamental tap steps, combinations, and improvisation techniques. Focus on timing, coordination, and musicality as you build your skills.
Jazz Technique
Age: 9+ years old

Jazz Technique class is all about energy and expression! In this lively class, you'll explore fundamental jazz movements, warm-ups, and dynamic combinations. Focus on style, flexibility, and performance quality while enhancing your musicality and coordination.
Hip Hop Technique

Hip Hop Technique class is all about attitude and fun! In this high-energy class, you’ll learn essential hip hop moves, choreography, and improvisation skills. Focus on rhythm, body control, and style while boosting your confidence and creativity.
*All dancers in a technique class will automatically be reassessed for the genre in which they are taking a technique class and will not have to complete the necessary number of private lessons for reassessment. For example, if a dancer is wanting to be reassessed to a higher level for ballet, they can either take ballet technique to complete the assessment or take 6 private lessons working on ballet technique.

Acro trains on strength, flexibility, agility, coordination, and balance for dancers to learn and execute gymnastics-based tricks commonly used in the dance world.
Pre-Pointe
Age 13+: Monday 5:30-6:15pm
Session Tuition: $128
This class is perfect for a dancer with aspirations of being en pointe someday, but also a dancer in ANY genre wanting to build strength in the ankles, feet, and core. Correct alignment, balance, and exercise execution is stressed in this class.
PBT (Progressing Ballet Technique)
Age 14+: Wednesday 5:00-5:45pm
Session Tuition: $128
PBT is an innovative body-conditioning and strengthening program that has been designed to enhance students' technique by focusing on training the muscle memory required in each exercise in all forms of dance. The program helps with injury prevention and rehabilitation and enhances the ability of athletes to perform at their best. PBT focuses on core strength, weight placement, and alignment of the body with a gradual approach of carefully designed exercises and repetitions of these exercises that trigger their muscle memory.
Pointe (1 year of pointe required)

Improv

Improv challenges a dancer to explore music, space, and body to create their own unique form of movement. This class encourages more focus on content than technique, and allows dancers to travel through shapes, pathways, levels, dynamics, and more. Improv can also explore and help dancers achieve a deeper understanding of concealed thoughts or feelings allowing emotional release through dance and expression.
Stretch

Stretch aims to improve a dancer's flexibility through deep stretches and muscle release exercises.

Ballet Variation – Danse des petits cygnes (Cygnets)

Danse des petits cygnes, or Dance of the Little Swans, is one of the most famous and recognized variations in ballet. The dance is from the second act of Swan Lake, and is usually performed by up-and-coming dancers in a ballet company. This variation emphasizes quick and precise footwork, and requires dancers to be perfectly in-sync. Dancers can wear either ballet flats or pointe shoes for this class.
