Summer Dance & Camps 2023
Our Summer Dance Program runs June 5 - July 27 (no class the week of July 4th). These are weekly classes that you/your dancer can enroll in to get started in dance, maintain technique through the summer, or just to try something new! Rates listed are for the entire summer session AND there's no registration fee!

This class used yoga balls, fusion balls, and therabands - all provided by the studio. Must have Wednesday 5:00-5:55pm Dance Fit $115 Age 10+ Thursday 4:00-4:55pm Think cross-training for dancers! This class will keep you active and help to retain all the strength that you built over the school year throughout the summer months! Dancer's Mindset $105 Age 10+ Thursday 6:30-7:15pm We know dance requires a strong body, but what about a strong mind? There are so many things I have learned in my time dancing that I wish I had known sooner. No, I’m not talking about pirouettes and grand jetés (even though those are still important!) I’m talking about those things that can’t be taught but have to be learned through experience. With that being said, I want to share with you all my advice to help you grow in your mindset as a dancer. Learn how to manage nerves, injuries, judgment, busy schedules and insecurities. Learn your strengths and weaknesses, what takes your dancing to the next level, and how to live in the moment and find gratitude. Master Classes
(Age 15+ or by invitation!) $28 Contemporary Tuesday, June 6th 5:00-6:30pm Miss Shelby Rice Love lyrical and modern? Find the perfect blend of the two in this contemporary class! Collegiate Dance Style Thursday, June 8th 5:00-6:30pm Miss Grace Bartunek In this class, dancers will learn the skills that are most sought out at the collegiate level for competition and performances! Dancers will also learn the styles of dance that are required to do sideline and media time out routines, as well as learn pom technique - the basis for most collegiate game day performances. Hip Hop Technique and Combo Tuesday, June 13th 5:00-6:30pm Miss Reegan Weitnauer Get ready to break it down and let loose! We'll work on some old and new tricks and technique, and learn a fun combo while we're at it! Arabian Coffee Variation (Nutcracker) Thursday, June 15th 5:00-6:30pm Miss Leah Roeske Calling all coffee lovers! The Coffee Dance from “The Nutcracker” (aka the Arabian Variation) takes place in Act 2 when Clara and the Prince enjoy international entertainment. Its slow tempo mixed with passionate emotions makes it a challenging yet unique variation to learn! Come in ballet shoes please. Jumps, Leaps, and Turns Tues, June 20th 5:00-6:30pm Miss Brittany Mark In jumps, leaps and turns we will be working on technique and strengthening to take our skills to new heights! The skills you'll learn will help you feel more confident executing bigger movements and attacking those challenging turn sequences. Partner work Thursday, June 22nd 5:00-6:30pm Miss Ashley Hertwig-Frieler Working with a partner or a group is crucial in dance. We will focus on lyrical/contemporary and jazz partner work, tricks, and skills. Please sign up for this master class with a partner! Ballroom Basics Tuesday, June 27th 5:00-6:30pm Miss Shelby Rice Come learn the basics of ballroom dance in this fun, upbeat class! We will work on technique and learn a combo to tie it together. Tap Thursday, June 29th 5:00-6:30pm Miss Bailey Bormann This class is designed to develop rhythm and style! If you are up for fast foot movements mixed with other styles of dance this is the class for you! Put your musicality to the test and join this class for an upbeat, fun experience! Ballet-Jazz Fusion Tues, July 11th 5:00-6:30pm Miss Leah Roeske Here’s the challenge: let’s mix two things that typically stay away from one another and make something unique! In this class, we will explore how ballet and jazz can work together to create a graceful, yet zesty, style of dance. We will learn a combo that can be done either in pointe shoes or ballet flats (but if you have pointe shoes, bring those beauties!) Musical Theatre Thursday, July 13th 5:00-6:30pm Miss Caitlyn Sullivan Love dancing and theater? Well welcome to musical theater where it's the best of both worlds! You'll learn not only how to blend the two, but also how to make your own distinct character to go along with a fun, upbeat musical number. Jazz Technique and Combo Tuesday, July 18th 5:00-6:30pm Miss Shelby Rice Keep your technique squeaky clean over the summer break with this advanced jazz technique class! We will work on the basics and learn a fast-paced combo. Dancing with Props Thursday, July 20th 5:00-6:30pm Props are a great way to enhance a dance, but they add a level of risk to the piece. In this Master Class, we will learn some basics of working with props, and learn a combination incorporating props both big and small. All the TURNS! Tues, July 25th 5:00-6:30pm Miss Carina Schell Turns! Some days they're on, some days they're off. This class will focus on multiple pirouettes, a la second, and fouettés, along with tips, tricks, and strengthening to execute them to your full potential. Lyrical Thurs, July 27th 5:00-6:30pm Miss Bailey Bormann This class is designed to allow dancers to express their emotions based on lyrics of music choices. If you enjoy ballet and/or jazz this is the class for you! We will work on lyrical technique, strengthening, and storytelling. |
