Scholarships Available for the 2026-2027 Season

"Spotlight Performer" Pierce Family Scholarship

The “Spotlight Performer” Scholarship was created to support dedicated NDAOD Competition Team dancers in pursuing additional performance opportunities. This scholarship recognizes competitive dancers who demonstrate passion, commitment, perseverance, and a positive impact within the studio community. The scholarship provides $500 toward performance-related expenses.
Scholarship Information
  • Scholarship amount of $500 to be used towards but not limited to:
    • Solo choreography
    • Duo or trio choreography
    • Competition entry fees
    • Costume expenses
    • Private lessons related to the performance
    • Other approved performance-related expenses

Applicant Criteria
  • Be a current member of the NDAOD Competition Team
  • Have completed at least one full year on the NDAOD Competition Team prior to applying
  • Demonstrate dedication, commitment, and a strong work ethic both in and outside the studio
  • Show respect and support for teammates, instructors, and the NDAOD community
  • Have a desire to pursue a performance opportunity such as a solo, duo, or trio
  • Be willing to represent NDAOD positively throughout the season
  • Submit a complete application by the stated deadline
  • Understand that scholarship funds must be used toward approved performance-related expenses and are non-transferable
 
How to apply:
To apply, send us a 1-3 minute video to telling us about yourself and why you would make a great candidate for this Scholarship. Video must include:
  1. Your name and age
  2. Which team you are on
  3. How long you have been a member of the Competition Team
  4. What being a competitive dancer means to you
  5. Your goals as a member of the Competition Team
  6. How receiving the Spotlight Performer Scholarship would impact you

"James P. Wold" Family Scholarships

James P. Wold Scholarship applications due on or before August 1st
"Leap Forward" Scholarship for Low-Income Families  (up to $910)
  • Tuition Paid for the 2026-2027 Season - up to a 1.25 hr class.
  • Costume Fee Paid for one class.
  • Recipient responsible for all other fees including, but not limited to, shoes, tights, tickets, pictures, recital videos, additional lessons, etc.
Applicant Criteria
  • Must be between the age of 2-18 years of age upon applying.
  • Applicants must either be registered for 2026-2027 classes prior to applying OR must register within 2 days of being chosen for the scholarship to retain it.
  • Must be a positive role model and show support to NDAOD and its dancers.
  • Scholarship is non-refundable or transferable. 

"First Steps" Scholarship for Low-Income Families  ($1,000)
  • Scholarship for the 2026-2027 Season can go towards tuition, costume, shoes, tights, tickets, recital videos, & additional lessons - up to $1,000.
Applicant Criteria
  • Must be between the age of 2-18 years of age upon applying without previous dance experience.
  • Applicants must either be registered for 2026-2027 classes prior to applying OR must register within 2 days of being chosen for the scholarship to retain it.
  • Must be a positive role model and show support to NDAOD and its dancers.
  • Scholarship is non-refundable or transferable.

"Stepping Strong" Scholarship for Single-Family Home  (up to $910)
  • Tuition Paid for the 2026-2027 Season - up to a 1.25 hr class.
  • Costume Fee Paid for one class.
  • Recipient responsible for all other fees including, but not limited to, shoes, tights, tickets, pictures, recital videos, additional lessons, etc.
Applicant Criteria
  • Must be between the age of 2-18 years of age upon applying.
  • Applicants must either be registered for 2026-2027 classes prior to applying OR must register within 2 days of being chosen for the scholarship to retain it.
  • Must be a positive role model and show support to NDAOD and its dancers.
  • Scholarship is non-refundable or transferable. 

"Dancing Beyond Limits" Scholarship for Children with Disabilities  (up to $1,390)
  • Tuition Paid for the 2026-2027 Season - up to a 1.25 hr class.
  • Student dance assistant assigned to help guide them through class.
  • Costume Fee Paid for one class.
  • Recipient responsible for all other fees including, but not limited to, shoes, tights, tickets, pictures, recital videos, additional lessons, etc.
Applicant Criteria
  • Must be between the age of 2-18 years of age upon applying.
  • Applicants must either be registered for 2026-2027 classes prior to applying OR must register within 2 days of being chosen for the scholarship to retain it.
  • Must be a positive role model and show support to NDAOD and its dancers.
  • Scholarship is non-refundable or transferable. 

"Next Level" Scholarship for Supporting a Competitive Dancer  (up to $1,295)
  • Competition Tuition Paid for the 2026-2027 Season supporting a dancer who would not be able to otherwise participate in the program.
  • Costume Fee Paid for one piece.
  • Recipient may use the remainder of the scholarship for competition fees and dance attire at the studio. Dancer is responsible for all other fees after the $1,295 is met.
Applicant Criteria
  • Must be between the age of 2-18 years of age upon applying.
  • Applicants must either be registered for 2026-2027 classes prior to applying OR must register within 2 days of being chosen for the scholarship to retain it.
  • Dancers must be registered and retain registration in the required recreational classes per the Competition Handbook.
  • Must be a positive role model and show support to NDAOD and its dancers.
  • Scholarship is non-refundable or transferable.
